A Poem For Noah

I wrote this poem for a friend who lost her baby son Noah to an illness. What breaks my heart just a bit less then 2 years later she was killed in a car accident on her way home. I wrote this poem for his memorial page.

A Poem For Noah

I am a little angel now in heaven up above.

I watch over all my family with my heart so full of love.

I know that they are sad that I had to go away.

I know they wanted me to stay to learn to run and play.

But God has other plans for me…plans they do not understand.

And though I miss them very much I am happy where I am.

I do not want them to blame themselves for the fact I left so soon.

Their love for me was so great it encompassed me the stars and moon.

My parents gave me a good life while I was there on earth.

They took such gentle care of me from the moment of my birth.

My brother was so nice to me - just the best brother around.

I was a lucky baby boy to have the best family to be found.

Now I watch over them from my perch up in the sky.

I see when the tears fall and when they heave a sigh.

I wish I could tell them I am with them day and night.

I hope that they remember some day we will unite.
